ACS712ELCTR-05B-T
Allegro ACS712ELCTR-05B-T Hall-effect current sensor, ±5 A with 185 mV/A sensitivity, 2.4 kVRMS isolation and a 5 V output in an 8-pin SOIC.
The ACS712ELCTR-05B-T is an Allegro MicroSystems ACS712 fully integrated, Hall-effect-based linear current sensor IC with a ±5 A range, in an 8-pin SOIC package. The device consists of a precise, low-offset linear Hall circuit with a copper conduction path located near the surface of the die, so the current flows through a low-resistance internal conductor and the resulting magnetic field is sensed by the Hall IC and converted into a proportional voltage. The chopper-stabilized BiCMOS circuit is programmed for accuracy after packaging, which gives a low offset, a nearly zero magnetic hysteresis and a stable output over temperature, and the device provides a total output error of about 1.5 percent at 25 °C. The 05B version offers a sensitivity of 185 mV/A, the highest of the family, so it gives the best resolution for a small current. It provides 2.4 kVRMS isolation between the current path and the signal path, an internal conductor resistance of about 1.2 mOhm to minimize power loss, a bandwidth up to 80 kHz and a 5 V single supply operation with a ratiometric output, over a -40 °C to +85 °C range. Typical uses include motor control, load detection, switched-mode power supplies and overcurrent protection. Every sensor BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you choose the range and plan the isolation and layout.
FAE Professional Review
The ACS712ELCTR-05B-T is the high-sensitivity choice for measuring a small current with good resolution, such as a low-power motor or a supply branch. The internal conductor keeps the insertion loss low, and the 2.4 kVRMS isolation simplifies the interface to the control side. Keep the current pins and the signal pins separated and follow the creepage guidance for the isolation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What projects suit the ACS712ELCTR-05B-T?
It suits designs that measure a small current with good resolution, such as a low-power motor or a supply branch, and it also works for load detection and overcurrent protection. The 185 mV/A sensitivity gives the best resolution of the family.
Confirm the maximum current stays within the ±5 A range.
Which version of the ACS712 should I choose?
Choose the 05B (5 A, 185 mV/A) for a small current and the best resolution, the 20A (100 mV/A) for a general range and the 30A (66 mV/A) for a larger current. All share the package and the isolation.
Our FAE team can help match the range to the load.
