ACS712ELCTR-20A-T
Allegro ACS712ELCTR-20A-T Hall-effect current sensor, ±20 A with 100 mV/A sensitivity, 2.4 kVRMS isolation and a 5 V output in an 8-pin SOIC.
The ACS712ELCTR-20A-T is an Allegro MicroSystems ACS712 fully integrated, Hall-effect-based linear current sensor IC with a ±20 A range, in an 8-pin SOIC package. The device consists of a precise, low-offset linear Hall circuit with a copper conduction path located near the surface of the die, so the current flows through a low-resistance internal conductor and the resulting magnetic field is sensed by the Hall IC and converted into a proportional voltage. The chopper-stabilized BiCMOS circuit is programmed for accuracy after packaging, which gives a low offset, a nearly zero magnetic hysteresis and a stable output over temperature, and the device provides a total output error of about 1.5 percent at 25 °C. The 20A version offers a sensitivity of 100 mV/A, a general-purpose balance of range and resolution that suits many motor and supply applications. It provides 2.4 kVRMS isolation between the current path and the signal path, an internal conductor resistance of about 1.2 mOhm to minimize power loss, a bandwidth up to 80 kHz and a 5 V single supply operation with a ratiometric output, over a -40 °C to +85 °C range. Typical uses include motor control, load detection, switched-mode power supplies and overcurrent protection. Every sensor BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you choose the range and plan the isolation and layout.
FAE Professional Review
The ACS712ELCTR-20A-T is the general-purpose choice, with enough range for a mid-power motor or a supply rail and enough sensitivity to resolve a modest current. It is the version we specify most often for a first prototype because it covers many applications. Keep the current pins and the signal pins separated, and follow the creepage guidance for the isolation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What projects suit the ACS712ELCTR-20A-T?
It suits a wide range of motor and supply applications where the current is moderate, and it is a good first choice for a prototype because it covers many cases. The 100 mV/A sensitivity balances range and resolution.
Confirm the maximum current stays within the ±20 A range.
How do I improve the resolution?
Choose the smallest range that covers your maximum current, because a lower range has a higher sensitivity. If the current is small, use the 05B version at 185 mV/A; if it is larger, this 20A version at 100 mV/A is the balance.
Our FAE team can help match the range to the load.
Is the sensor genuine and documented?
BeiLuo supplies factory-traceable ACS712ELCTR-20A-T sensors with an import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS file on every order. Stock is normally available and the datasheet downloads from this page.
